Credenza Sassi is composed as a sequence of solid volumes rather than a single continuous cabinet. Tall side blocks frame a recessed central section, where layered doors and drawers create a quieter play of depth and proportion. The restrained palette allows the stepped geometry and subtle changes in surface texture to carry the design. Seen frontally, the piece is calm and symmetrical; from the side, the varying projections give it the character of a small architectural composition.

Carcass engineered from furniture-grade birch plywood and moisture-stable MDF used only as a non-structural finishing substrate, with solid hardwood lippings at exposed edges. Exterior panels receive a high-build matte two-component lacquer or selected wood veneer, applied over fully prepared surfaces for consistent colour and low telegraphing. The recessed central element is detailed with a finely ribbed or linear veneer panel to introduce tactile contrast. Doors and drawers operate on concealed premium soft-close hinges and full-extension runners with integrated adjustment; touch-latch or discreet edge pulls maintain the uninterrupted elevation. Internal shelves are veneered plywood with sealed edges. The plinth is recessed and reinforced in powder-coated structural steel, creating a shadow gap beneath the cabinet while carrying the load independently of the decorative panels. All visible mitres and reveals are factory-set to tight, consistent tolerances.
