Poltrona Arcata is built from a continuous sequence of upholstered arches that loop around a soft central seat. The tubular forms act as arms, back and visual structure, creating a chair that feels animated from every angle. Open spaces between the curves prevent the composition from becoming heavy, while the monochrome upholstery turns the individual elements into one sculptural gesture. Arcata is deliberately expressive—a lounge chair that reads as an object in the room even when unoccupied.

Seat Height: 16.9 in (43 cm)
Primary skeleton fabricated from bent tubular steel with welded reinforcement at the seat, arm and back intersections, engineered as a continuous load-bearing armature rather than a collection of independent foam forms. The seat pan incorporates a birch-plywood deck and 60 mm elastic webbing for resilient support. Tubular members are wrapped in moulded 35–45 kg/m³ HR polyurethane with denser foam at compression points, then softened with 200–250 g/m² batting. The seat uses a 42–45 kg/m³ structural foam core with a 32–35 kg/m³ comfort cap. Upholstery is cut in narrow, bias-controlled panels to follow the tight radii without wrinkling; bouclé, wool or stretch-capable performance textile is recommended for the continuous sculptural finish. Concealed access panels permit tightening of structural connections, and integrated floor glides are recessed into the front and rear support points.
