Poltrona Dorica balances a softly upholstered shell with a more graphic external support structure. The rounded seat and gently enclosed back create a comfortable, composed interior, while the dark vertical rails and small metal accents introduce a sharper architectural line. The chair feels compact and upright enough for conversation, yet the deep seat and softened arms retain the comfort of a lounge piece. Dorica is deliberately restrained, relying on proportion, detailing and material contrast rather than exaggerated volume.
Width: 33.5 in (85 cm)
Depth: 31.5 in (80 cm)
Height: 29.5 in (75 cm)
Internal seat and back structure in kiln-dried solid beech with a curved 15–18 mm birch-plywood shell. Seat suspension uses 60 mm cross-laced elastic webbing; cushioning combines a 42–45 kg/m³ HR seat core with 32–35 kg/m³ comfort foam and 28–32 kg/m³ shaped foam through the back and arms. Fixed surfaces receive 200–250 g/m² batting beneath the upholstery. The external side rails are solid hardwood or 304 stainless steel, mechanically tied into reinforced frame nodes rather than applied decoratively. Metal end details and floor interfaces are in solid brass or PVD-finished stainless steel. Upholstery may be specified in premium wool, bouclé, velvet or full-grain leather, with piping and seam lines used to sharpen the shell perimeter. Replaceable glides protect the floor and permit minor levelling.
