Poltrona Vela is a low lounge chair built from two broad upholstered planes that appear to fold gently around the body. The seat and back are generous and softly channelled, while the dark pedestal supports remain deliberately restrained so the upholstery seems to float. Paired with its matching ottoman, the chair creates a relaxed, almost chaise-like posture. Its strength comes from the contrast between soft volume and a compact architectural base, making Vela equally effective as a solitary reading chair or part of a larger lounge setting.

Chair chassis in kiln-dried solid beech and formed birch plywood with concealed steel reinforcement at the back-to-seat junction. The seat suspension uses cross-laced elastic webbing over a reinforced frame. Multi-density HR foam combines a 42–45 kg/m³ structural seat core with 32–35 kg/m³ comfort foam; the back is shaped in 28–32 kg/m³ foam with additional edge support beneath the channel seams. A 200–300 g/m² batting layer softens the surface while preserving the broad folded profile. Channel lines are stitched and internally indexed so they remain aligned under use. The ottoman repeats the same foam architecture over a rigid timber chassis. Pedestal supports are welded structural steel with a recessed fixing plate and matte black or selected metal finish, fitted with non-marking glides. Upholstery may be specified in dense bouclé, wool, velvet or full-grain leather.
