Sgabello Scala uses a strong central pedestal to give the barstool a more formal, almost jewellery-like presence. A rounded seat is balanced by a double curved backrest, while concentric rings at the base create a rhythmic footrest and reinforce the vertical line of the fluted column. The combination of upholstered volumes and warm metal makes the stool expressive without becoming visually heavy, suited to a bar, kitchen island or hospitality setting where the seating is intended to contribute to the room’s character.

Pedestal fabricated in 304 stainless steel with a weighted structural base plate, turned or fabricated central column and welded circular footrest rings. Visible metal is finished in high-quality PVD brass/champagne/bronze or polished stainless steel, with all welds dressed and concealed before finishing. The stool incorporates a heavy-duty 360-degree swivel bearing with optional memory return, bolted through a reinforced seat plate. Seat and twin back pads use moulded birch-ply or steel shells, 40–45 kg/m³ HR seat foam and 30–32 kg/m³ back foam with a thin comfort wrap. Upholstery may be full-grain leather, velvet, wool or performance textile, with precise piping or topstitching around the curved pads. The weighted base is lined underneath with a replaceable non-marking floor pad to distribute load and protect hard surfaces.
