Tavolino Incrocio is a low kinetic composition of three rounded rectangular planes that can align into a compact stack or rotate outward into a wider arrangement. Each layer carries a different finish, allowing colour and material to appear or recede as the table changes position. The movement is integral to the design rather than an accessory: the table can shift from a restrained central object to a more expansive surface for books, drinks and display. Its very low profile keeps the composition grounded even when fully opened.

Three independently rotating tabletop plates built from lightweight aluminium-honeycomb or high-grade birch-plywood cores, chosen according to span, with solid hardwood or machined aluminium perimeter lippings to maintain crisp radiused edges. Surface finishes combine quarter-cut wood veneer and high-build matte two-component lacquer, applied to both faces to maintain dimensional balance. The tiers rotate on concealed steel pivot shafts with precision thrust bearings and mechanical stops, allowing smooth movement without visible external hardware. Internal plates distribute the pivot loads across each panel so the mechanism does not rely on local screws into composite board. The lowest tier incorporates a recessed structural base and non-marking glides; upper levels include low-friction isolation washers to prevent finish abrasion. Veneer grain direction and lacquer sheen are controlled across the set for a deliberately composed appearance in every position.
