Tholos Armchair

$4,900.00

  • Sculptural lounge chair with an overscaled tubular arm loop that defines the silhouette in one continuous gesture.
  • Open side voids create lightness and architectural clarity within a compact footprint.
  • Thick, block-like seat volume held low for a grounded, lounge-forward posture.
  • Smooth, matte upholstery with minimal seams to preserve purity of line and proportion.

This Tholos Armchair is drawn as a quiet piece of architecture: a continuous tubular frame that arcs from arm to arm, then drops to the floor as two rounded supports. Within that loop sits a generous seat volume, clean and compact, creating a disciplined relationship between soft mass and open space. The side cut-outs keep the form from feeling heavy, allowing light to pass through and sharpening the chair’s profile in the room. Seam placement is deliberately sparse, used only to articulate the curve and maintain structure. The result is a chair of proportion and balance—calm, tactile, and unmistakably composed.

Crafted with a solid internal frame and shaped cushioning to maintain the chair’s tubular geometry and crisp transitions. Shown in a smooth, matte upholstery—suggestive of nubuck-style leather or a refined microfiber suede—selected for its even surface and soft light absorption, which emphasizes the chair’s continuous line. Tailoring is kept minimal, with seams aligned to the curve and discreetly resolved at junctions to preserve architectural clarity.

Available in a curated range of leathers and fabrics, with customization across tone, texture, and stitch definition. Tonal specifications keep the chair quiet and sculptural, while deeper hues or subtle contrast stitching can sharpen the outline and heighten tactile contrast, without altering its balanced proportions.
